Chattanooga

So on memorial day weekend, we took a little family vacation to Chattanooga, TN and we had such a great time!  We took the kids to the TN Aquarium and their faces were too cute for words.  As most of you know, Claire has been all into Ariel, so she thought she was a walking Ariel around all the fish.

First thing that morning, we went to a bird show.......and they had a snake out on exhibit.... of course I didn't touch it but do you think Claire was nervous....... no, she touched it without hesitation.  Then we had the talk about not touching them if you see them in the yard! Maybe petting a snake isn't the best idea for a 3 year old!

Clymer's face during the bird show..... it was such a neat little show.. the birds would fly all around to different perches to the side and behind us.  Every time a bird took off flying, Clymer's body would tense up. He wasn't too sure!

Claire face during the bird show.... she's such a little ham!

We weren't prepared for how cute Clymer would be on this trip!!! I guess it was because we took Claire to the GA Aquarium when she was about this age and she just was like in a stare the whole time.  Clymer.............was not! He squeeled and made his manly grunt noises and pointed to the fish.  Even was scared of one 20 pound fish that swam up next to the glass.  It was one of those moments we will never forget :)

Pretending to be Ariel...

Working up the nerve to pet the sturgeon.  She touched the snake with no hestitation so you would think touching a fish would be no biggy....WRONG!! It to Rob 10 minutes to get her to touch it.  She cried so Rob said, "You don't have to touch it." They started to leave and she cried even more.  You could tell she wanted to touch it so bad but was just nervous.  So after 10 minutes of drama, she touched the fish. Whew.

Towards the end of the day.. you can tell little Clymer man is tired.  Claire was rubbing his hair.  We think his love language is going to be physical touch!

We look awful happy for people in a shark cage, right? Oh, and the seahorse in this picture was Claire's baby she got from the gift shop.  Would you like to know what she named it??????? Chantalina.

One last Ariel moment =)
