Spring Break this year was a lot of fun! As usual, we went down to Panama City Beach. I guess we have been doing this for about six year now, and it's funny to think back about all of the times. The first year, was when I was still doing my student teaching... there were no kids... just us girls.......we would talk about where all we wanted to eat and shop. Then decided on what movies to rent each night and what flavors of ice cream we wanted to buy and eat while watching movies. Now, there are kids.....we do still talk about where we want to eat and shop-but mainly the conversation consists of, "Ok, which places have outdoor seating for us to eat" or "well, this one needs a nap so we can go here b/c it's not too far from the condo."
Needless to say, our trips have changed a little, but they still are so much fun and special! What's best, is watching these little ones grow and make memories together. One day, they will sit back and talk about all of these crazy trips! :)
The first night we stayed in and cooked spaghetti, everyone was tired of traveling and of course the kiddos wanted to get out on the beach for a little bit.
The next morning we went to Liza's Kitchen for breakfast. They only serve breakfast on the weekends, so you have to get there early. Here we are, waiting for them to open. Claire and Anderson are checking out what's on the market.
After Breakfast, we went to Pier Park... which is such a great place to shop with kids! Clymer stayed in the stroller for three house. Literally. He just chilled out while we walked around.
Riding the carousel at Pier Park with Aunt Heather.
Clymer looked on with sleepy eyes.
We ate at "The Back Porch." It was great for our crew because we had a little fenced in area where our table was pretty much the only one in that area. So, our kiddos didn't disturb anyone else's meal. Also, the kids could watch all of the people cruising by. They love all the funny little cars people rent. Claire is holding her baby that Grannie bought her. She decided to name her "Condo." It will be interesting to see what this kid names her children one day. She has a babydoll that she has named "Shededah" and a bear named "Chuba."
We hit the beach that afternoon for bit.
The next day Heather and I went down and set up a tent and we spent a good portion of the day at the beach. Sorry there are no pictures, but with two kids and all the beach supplies, a camera was really the last thing on my mind :)
That night we went to "Schooners" to eat..... also another great place to eat with kids. Clymer had the best time.... really everyone did. They set us right in front of the stage. Then they had live music. Needless to say, Claire and Anderson kept the people around us entertained. They danced and danced and tipped the guy with all the spare change.
Claire pouting because she didn't want to eat her food. She just wanted to dance. I think she ate one bit of hamburger and two fries.... oh well.
Clymer loving sitting by his big cousin, Anderson.
I think this is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. They are just a dancin'! A guy from the table next to us yelled to the guy on stage, "Hey, aren't your groupies a little young?"
My babies in the bathing suits
Great trip, Great Memories :)
